December 1st
> In the beginning, we were young and so sure that everything would change quickly, for the better.
> But we woke up dazed in a new world, like a child learning to walk.
> Those were hard years for Romania: with poverty and confusion, street fights and bankruptcies,
> successes, failures, shattered illusions, and fulfilled dreams.
> Some of you stayed here, hoping for a new and better country, a modern and friendly state.
> You took out mortgages for homes and loans for cars, and you learned, through hard work and passion, what capitalism means.
> Others left afar to fulfill your destiny.
> You gritted your teeth, you sometimes cried, you sent money home, and you helped raise Romania.
> Person by person...
> Longing by longing...
> Story by story...
> Faster or slower, we have all changed.
> We can say what we believe, without fear.
> We can dare, not just dream.
> We are building, and many things turn out well. Cities are changing. Romania is developing and no longer wants to go back.
> On December 1st, 2025, I wish a warm Happy National Day to Romania and to all Romanians everywhere!
